The Tektronix 2465B, regarded as the Cadillac of Analog scopes, offers useful features that are hard to replicate in digital units. The 2465B has a bandwidth of 400MHz, 4 channels, up to 500 Ps/div timing resolution, offers auto setup and automatic measurements, the ability to save and recall Front-panel setups, provides cursor measurements and has 1% timing accuracy. The analog display allows gray scaling and persistence, whereby faster signals appear fainter than slower signals. And when an event only occurs occasionally in a repetitive signal, the anomaly will fade quicker and look dimmer than the rest of the waveform, which can provide critical information when analyzing complex designs. The 2465B also offers a real time display that responds instantly to changing signal conditions. Since it doesn’t have to acquire and then process signal information before displaying it like a digital scope, it can trigger on many more waveforms per second. And with a complete selection of trigger modes, the 2465B can display any signal regardless of its complexity.

The E&I 240L Amplifier produces 40 Watts of class A linear power output over the entire frequency range from 10 KHz to 12 MHz. It has very low harmonic distortion along with low IMD products. Operation over the band is achieved without the need for any band switching or indeed any adjustments. The power gain is rated at 50 dB with a typical gain flatness of +/- 1.5 dB. The 240L is built to withstand a 13 dBm input (1.0 Volt RMS) for any VSWR load condition.

The 240-C is a table-top, high power resistance decade box. The 240-C features six decade steps. The Clarostat 240C is a power resistor decade box that is a must in electronic and electrical work when dealing with known or unknown resistances … selected or determined under active operational conditions. The Clarostat 240C provides any ohm value, in 1 ohm increments, from 1 to 999,999 ohms. The 240C Decade Resistor provides known or unknown resistance values by simple dialing. Power ratings to 225 watts max. at 1000 Volts max. Six decades for quick setting and direct readout. The 240C can be used in actual circuits and under “live” conditions. Connections are made via two sets of terminals taking banana-plug, spade-lug, or plain wire connections.

Both deliver up to 5A to handle portable device loads easily, while 100nA resolution (10µA on Model 2303-PJ) enables precise monitoring of sleep mode currents with 0.2% basic accuracy. Fast transient response simulates battery behavior, with output returning to within 100mV of the set voltage in 40µs or less. The ability to sink current enables these supplies to simulate the characteristics of a discharged, rechargeable battery for testing of battery chargers and charger-related circuitry. In addition to DC current measurements, these supplies can measure current pulses as short as 60µs and as long as 833ms. An optional remote display/control module permits the half-rack chassis to be mounted out of sight. Relay outputs permit external relays to be used in the control of tests. DVM inputs enable both supplies to measure and display DC voltages from anywhere in a test system, thus saving the expense and space needed to add a separate DMM.
