The HP/Agilent N4416A S-parameter test set is a key component of an Agilent physical layer and balanced-measurement system. When combined with an Agilent PNA Series E8356A, E8357A, or E8358A. Option 015 vector network analyzer and an external PC equipped with an IEEE-488 GPIB card, this test set makes characterizing high-speed digital interconnects as well as, fully balanced or balanced-to-single-ended RF components a lot easier.
The N4416A S-parameter test set requires the N4425A Balanced Measurement System software or the N1930A Physical Layer Test System software for control of the 4-port VNA system, calibration, and data display and analysis.

The 80C02 module is optimized for testing of long-wavelength (1100 to 1650 nm) signals at 9.953 Gb/s (SONET OC-192/SDH STM-64). With its high optical bandwidth of 30 GHz (typical), it is also well-suited for general purpose, high-performance optical component testing. The 80C02 can be optionally configured with clock recovery that supports 9.953 Gb/s telecom standards. The 80C02 is an optical sampling module is designed for use in Tektronix’ CSA8000 Communications Signal Analyzer, TDS8000 Sampling Oscilloscope or DSA8200 Sampling Oscilloscope.

The Agilent 85130F test port adapter is designed to protect the test set port when it would be directly connected to the device under test. These adapters have a special rugged female connector designed for connecting to the network analyzer test port. This special connector will not mate with a standard male connector, but converts the rugged test set port to a connection that can be mated with the device under test. The set contains a 2.4 mm to PSC-3.5 mm male adapter and a 2.4 mm to PSC-3.5 mm female adapter. The frequency range for these adapters is dc to 26.5 GHz with a return loss of 26 dB or better.

The Agilent N6752A family of high-performance, autoranging DC power modules provides low noise, high accuracy andprogramming speeds that are up to 10 to 50 times faster than other programmable power supplies. In addition, Agilent has for the first time included high-speed test extension in general purpose power supplies (option 054). The high-speed test extension offers an oscilloscope-like digitizer that simplifies system configuration and increases measurement accuracy when viewing high-speed transient or pulse events within the device-under-test (DUT). In addition, autoranging output capabilities enable one power supply to do the job of several traditional power supplies.
