The SDL-800 Laser Diode Driver may be used to power laser diodes requiring up to 1000 mA of drive . Current Control or optical power monitor modes may be selected. An adjustable current limit helps protect the diode from accidental overdrive. The SDL800 contains a thermoelectric cooler driver which is compatible with SDL laser products.
features which help protect the laser diodes are: power line filtering, low line voltage detection, open circuit detection, high speed current limit, built-in dummy setup diode, missing monitor photodiode detection and automatic shorting of the laser diode terminals during output switching.
