Description
Angular positioning of fiber optics is critical to maximizing coupling efficiency. Up to six degrees of positioning freedom is available by combining the ULTRAlign™ Linear Stages with tilt/rotation stages. Stainless steel construction used throughout ensures long-term stability. The Newport 561-TILT Tip/Tilt Platforms provide two-axis (θXθY) angular alignment of the fiber with minimal translation. The tilt platform mounts on top of an XYZ stage for five degrees of freedom. Fiber and device holders mount to a rail on top of the tip/tilt platform. The 561-TILT stages utilize precision 100 TPI adjustment screws.
